There are many times when we need to take a look at our homes to make sure that everything is in order. Your home may be in working order, but is it protected from home invaders? Many homeowners across the United States tend to invest into home security after a home break-in has happened. This can be a costly mistake which can easily be prevented by purchasing a home security system for your home.

Before we start to take a look at what LiveWatch Home Security has to offer you, we would first like to give our readers some background information about the company. LiveWatch Home Security specializes in providing consumers with security solutions for homes and offices across the United States. They were recently acquired by Brinks Home Security and they now strictly go by the Brinks Home Security name. Brinks Home Security has been in the security market since 1994, and their headquarters are located in Texas.

There are several factors that as a consumer you need to look at when purchasing a home security solution for your home. One thing you need to make sure of when shopping around for home security is that the company you are looking into offers the products that will work for your home. You also want to make sure they have the monitoring services you are looking for to use with your security, video, and home automation equipment.

Control panels

LiveWatch Home Security has a some really great control panels that are designed to keep your home protected. LiveWatch Home Security offers a few different control hubs for their security systems.

Smart Home Hub

They offer their Smart Home Hub which is a full colored touchscreen control panel. This touchscreen panel is actually the Qolsys control panel (the same control panel we use here at Link Interactive and which you can have for a lesser price). The touchscreen displays your current system status, and you can quickly arm and disarm your system with the quick touch on your Smart Home Hub. It works by connecting directly to your home’s WIFI network, but it also includes a cellular backup chip for when your internet connection goes down. It is powered through an AC power source, but it does include a backup battery just in case your power goes out. It has an 85-decible built in siren that will sound when your system has been triggered. LiveWatch Home Security’s Smart Hub also includes a 5MP front facing camera that can snap a photo for when your system has been armed or disarmed. You can use smart home assistants like Google’s home assistant to control the functions of your system.

Nest Guard

The next control panel they offer is the Nest Guard. The Nest Guard has a lot of features built-in. It is a push button control panel that has a half cone like shape design. You can quickly arm and disarm your system by using the push-button keypad that is built-in. The Nest Guard includes a motion sensor built-in that will detect motion around the Nest Guard. It works by connecting to your home’s WIFI network, and it includes a cellular backup chip just in case your internet is down. It is powered through an AC power source, and it includes a 12-hour backup battery. It has an 85-decible audible alarm for when your system is triggered, and it has indicator lights that will change colors to show different statuses of your Nest Secure System. The Nest Guard allows you to also use smart home assistants like Amazon’s Alexa to control the functions of your system.

Our take: We really like the fact that LiveWatch Home Security has two great control panels for you to choose from. Their control hubs have an awesome design and it are super easy to use. We really love the fact that they offer Nest Secure products due to their high quality and high ratings from consumers who have used Nest.

At Link Interactive, we have a number of different control panels for you to choose from as well. In fact, LiveWatch’s touchscreen control panel is the exact same one we use here at Link Interactive. Click here to see our packages.

Intrusion sensors

LiveWatch Home Security offers a lot of great equipment that you can use with their Smart Home Hub. The first type of equipment they offer are intrusion sensors.

Door/window sensor

LiveWatch Home Security has door/window sensors that are used to protect the entryways to your home. Their door/window sensors are wireless and battery operated. You simply need to place a door/window sensor on a door or window frame of a door or window you want some protection for. When a door or window in which a door/window sensor has been installed has been opened, it will trigger your system and you will be instantly alerted.

Motion sensor

The next type of entryway sensors they offer is their motion sensors. Their motion sensors are wireless and battery operated. Using a motion sensor is a great way to cover a larger area of your home. You want to place your motion sensor in the upper corner of a large room you want protected. LiveWatch Home Security’s motion sensor will detect any motion in the room they are placed (excluding pets), and it will trigger your system when motion has been sensed and send you an instant alert.

Glass break sensor

If your home has a lot of windows then you can purchase a glass break sensor from LiveWatch Home Security. Their glass break sensors are wireless and battery operated. You will want to install a glass break sensor near an area that has glass windows. Keyfob

LiveWatch Home Security has keychain remotes as a way for you to quickly arm and disarm your system. Their keychain remote is battery operated and a has a push button design. It has four features on the keychain including a panic button that will immediately trigger your system.

Our take: **The basic equipment that LiveWatch Home Security has to offer for their Smart Home Hub is pretty standard when compared to other security companies that are similar. We do like the fact that their door/window sensors are wireless. We also like how simple it is to set their motion and door/window sensors.

LiveWatch Home Security offers a nice variety of life safety devices for its Smart Home Hub that will protect you from environmental disasters.

When a rise of water or a leak has been detected by your flood sensor it will trigger your system and send you an instant notification.

Our take: LiveWatch Home Security has a nice variety of life safety devices. We really like the fact that their smoke detectors detect both rises in heat and smoke. We also really like LiveWatch Home Security’s flood sensors due to the fact that many other security companies do not offer this type of sensor for your home. Their CO2 detector is also a really great life safety sensor that we strongly suggest you invest in for your home due to the dangers of CO2 gases that can suddenly take place in your home.

Nest Secure

LiveWatch Home Security offers all the basic sensors that come with the Nest Secure. The Nest Secure uses Nest Detect sensors to protect the entryways to your home. The Nest Detect is a combination door/window sensor and motion sensor. It is wireless and battery operated. The Nest Detect is placed on a door/window frame that you want some protection for. Nest Detect sensors will be triggered when a door or window in which they have been installed is opened. The last piece of equipment that is offered with the Nest Secure security system are Nest Tags. Nest Tags are RFID tags that are used to quickly arm and disarm your system with a quick tap of the tag. These tags are battery operated and can easily be placed on a key-ring.

Our take: The Nest Secure comes with some really great sensors. We really like the fact that the Nest Detect works a both a door/window sensor and a motion sensor. We also really like the fact that you can use an RFID tag (Nest Tags) to quickly arm and disarm the Nest Secure System. However, we do wish that Nest offered a bit more variety of basic security equipment for their Nest Secure.
