The only downside to the Nest Protect is its price. It is a little expensive compared to other smart home smoke detectors.

Another top smoke detector for 2019 is the Abode Smoke Alarm Monitor. Abode, in recent years, has expanded their market to include the design and manufacturing of home automation, life safety, security, and video surveillance devices.
